Dra. Rachel Medina
Dra. Rachel Medina began veterinary work in 2002 opening her own clinic in Tijuana where she made a name of herself for 9 years before beginning work with another veterinary clinic in 2011, quickly demonstrating her expertise, know-how and professionalism with animals in need.
Dra. Medina speaks fluent English and Spanish, taking personal pride in ensuring that pet parents are well informed during every step of the care process. Dra. Rachel Medina has built her life around caring for animals and animal lovers alike.
Dr. Jose Ruiz Montaño
Dr. Jose Ruiz Montaño is a passionate veterinarian with extensive experience in emergency care and soft tissue surgery. With a solid academic foundation from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México and advanced training in endoscopy, dental procedures, and fracture management, Dr. Ruiz is committed to excellence in veterinary medicine.
Throughout his professional journey in cities like Mexico City and Celaya, he has provided compassionate emergency consultations, performed complex surgeries, and skillfully interpreted diagnostic imaging and laboratory studies. He is known for his precise use of evidence-based medicine and his dedication to the well-being of every animal under his care.
Now part of the team at Clínica Patas Felices, Dr. Ruiz brings not only his medical expertise but also his heartfelt values—constant improvement, teamwork, and above all, a deep love and respect for his patients.
DRA. Karina Esqueda
Born in Sonora and raised in Tijuana, Karina Esqueda knew from a young age that she wanted to care for animals. Her passion led her to study veterinary medicine at the Instituto Tecnológico de Sonora (ITSON), where she focused on companion animal care.
Dra. Esqueda has a special interest in internal medicine and animal behavior for both dogs and cats. With a warm and thoughtful approach, she is committed to providing ethical, high-quality medical care and building lasting partnerships with every pet parent she meets.
Her mission is simple: to treat every patient with compassion and respect while delivering hospital-level care families can trust.
